OP’s Hiring Updates 12-10

HR Updates More Burlingame facility jobs posted, the opposite of yesterday!

Downstream Manufacturing Lead Manufacturing Associate II/III, Upstream

That’s 4 jobs posted for Burlingame in 2 days plus the 1 confirmed by Herb on LinkedIn on Wednesday, so at least 5 people operating in that facility. I imagine there’s a few more that stayed on from Kindred and they haven’t updated their LinkedIn or they don’t have a profile.

Very interesting line in the summary for the Downstream/Upstream Manufacturing Leads. Read below.

They also removed the Sr. QC Analyst, EM/Microbiology position. That was posted on 11/22, so relatively quick turn around. From the position description – “The QC Analyst EM/Microbiology is responsible for supporting the Quality Control, Environmental Monitoring team, maintaining cleanrooms for commercial manufacture for both At Rest and In Operation conditions.”

Commercial manufacture? Accelerated COVID manufacturing schedules? Say what???

Also confirmed the new Bioinformatics Specialist. This job was posted 9/15, removed 10/27 and confirmed today via LinkedIn.

From my posting back in Sept – “They also posted the Bioinformatics Specialist. This job’s going to work with the Bioassay Director and they’re bringing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) tech in house to speed up analyzing assays. Big deal!”

Our new specialist has a Ph.D from UMass Amherst. Her thesis seems right up Vaxart’s alley: “Mapping Selected Polyphenols Metabolism by Gut Bacteria and Their Genes”

For those that aren’t aware of NGS, it’s a relatively new technology but incredibly powerful – “What is NGS? Next-generation sequencing (NGS) is a massively parallel sequencing technology that offers ultra-high throughput, scalability, and speed. The technology is used to determine the order of nucleotides in entire genomes or targeted regions of DNA or RNA.”

Obviously very talented shills and scam artists from UMass.
